You have entered a school dedicated to teaching art in the tradition of the old masters.

The Fine Arts School was founded in 2001 by Benjamin F. Long IV. Mr. Long has been the recipient of the Arthur Ross Award for Excellence in the Classical Tradition. He has received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from his alma mater, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is included in the Art Renewal Center’s list of ‘Living Masters.” His work is in many prestigious collections including the Smithsonian Institute, The Getty Collection, The Mint Museum, and the McColl Collection, to name a few. He has also been commissioned to paint portraits of notables such as Governor Jim Hunt, Poet Reynolds Price, Author Danielle Steele, and most recently the past President of the University of North Carolina, Erskine Bowles. The previous Curator of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Mr. de Montebello referred to Mr. Long as the greatest draftsman of the 20th century.
